White Sox Shellack the A's, 13-1

I missed most of the game due to being out shopping, but I came back around the fifth inning. I was pretty disappointed that I missed Gio Gonzalez's start versus his former team, the Chicago White Sox. I was also disappointed to see him get roughed up for seven earned runs in only 3.1 innings, allowing only 6 H but 5 BB's to go along with 2 K's.

On the otherhand, the White Sox played a great game no doubt. Quentin went out their and had a great game going 2-3 with 4 RBI, 2 runs scored, and 2 BB's. Alexei Ramirez and Juan Uribe also had great games, Alexei going 1-4 although his lone hit was a grand slam to make it 13-0. Uribe went 1-3 with 2 RBI, 2 runs scored, and a walk. Lets take a look at how Uribe has been doing since pretty much Alexei took over as our starting 2B: 38-139, 23 R, 11 2B, 1 3B, 3 HR, 15 RBI, 9 BB, 30 K, and a .273/.322/.432 which seems a whole lot better coming from this guy who has hit as low as .155 this season.

The offense was amazing today for the Sox, but how did Javier Vazquez do? 8 innings, 1 ER on 4 H to go along with no walks and 8 K's. Also was pretty good to see Clayton Richard go out there and pitch a perfect 9th inning after struggling a ton in his starting duties. 15 ER on 25 H in 13 IP with 4 BB and 11 K. Not so good, and it does not seem so bad only being three starts but he just did not look like he belonged on a major league baseball field the way he pitched.

White Sox 13, A's 1. Damn good game. I think we are something like 8-28 in our last 36 games against the A's in the past years, and this is the first time we have taken back to back games, and a series win, since 2000.

Oh, by the way; Fuck Griffey. Can you not hit anymore? You were on a 13-14 game hit streak and you come here and go 9-37 with us. I supported the shit out of him when he came here, telling everyone to let him play a game before you bash him. Now I really wish we could have kept Masset and Richar, both capable of being solid players.

In other news, can the Twins please lose a game when we win? Also, whats up with all the scoring today, BAL with 16, NYY with 15, TOR with 15, MIN with 11, CHC with 9, and then the White Sox with 13.

That is it, I look forward to seeing King Felix on Tuesday I believe against the White Sox.

I'll edit this shit. I'll not only post about baseball, also whatever happens in my life worth posting on here.

I went to Indiana Beach yesterday, was gone all day coming home at about 2 this morning. The beach, man-made, was pretty bad. New management=paying for parking in front of the park, longer lines and longer waits. But you can now bring in coolers so that's alright. Anyways later on about 8 we left and went to a Drive-In movie theater which was pretty cool. Seen Pineapple Express and Step Brothers in a double feature.

Pineapple express was possibly my favorite movie of the year, it was just downright hilarious. If you are a stoner you will love this movie. Seth Rogen and James Franco were both great, and the 3rd guy that's in their circle towards the end was pretty funny too. He got shot like 7 times and still lived.

Step Brothers was alright, some funny moments. I never laughed so hard in a while at the part Seth Rogen was in;
Sporting Goods Manager: [after Dale finishes his very prolonged fart] Was that a fart?
Dale Doback: Yea...
Sporting Goods Manager: I can taste that one...is that...onions and ketchup? Now I'm starting to realize the tuxedos are kinda fucked up.

Rogen was the manager, they were wearing tuxedos to all of their job interviews.
